Ventura Photoworks is Ventura's new and only dedicated education program for photographers. Founded by professional photographer David Zentz in 2026 the program is now offering its first photography courses for beginners at the WAV Gallery in downtown Ventura.
Courses at Ventura Photoworks are currently aimed at beginners. Students will get hands-on instruction on the basics of photography, including understanding manual settings on a digital SLR camera, exposure, composition and natural lighting.
David Zentz is a Ventura-based photographer with more than 20 years experience working as a portrait and lifestyle photographer. Over the course of his career he has worked with publications such as Chicago Tribune and Associated Press as well as with numerous commercial and corporate partners.
